Slidell Memorial Cancer Center Project

In July of 2021 I was asked to create some artwork for the SMH Cancer Center. I immediately said yes. My mother passed away in 1998 as a result of Breast Cancer. Through the years I have painted many butterflies in honor of my mother. I looked up what flowers represented courage, strength and bravery and Camellias came up. So my paintings are of butterflies and Camellias. I dedicate these paintings to my mom (Mary Elliott) and all those warriors who have faced this battle.

I sculpted the images on the canvases first then painted. This was before they were hung.

This was a smaller one I did for the dressing room.
